Biden Goes Full-On Incoherent in Pittsburgh, What He Says About Kamala Is Incredible

And if she had a “moral compass of a saint,” I doubt she would have attached herself to Biden, all the failed policies that she’s embraced, and the radical agenda she’s touted in the past.

Kamala’s Pittsburgh Remarks Show She Can’t Unburden Herself From What Has Been – No Matter the Accent

Between Biden’s tall tales and Harris’ accents that change depending on the audience, this duo has a serious authenticity problem.

WHAT’S ON TAP?

Today on Capitol Hill…

The critters will soon be making their formal return to the Hill, just in time to do battle over budget matters and roll into the November election pointing fingers at one another. Buckle up, friends.

White House What’s Up

President Joe Biden eases back into presidenting with afternoon remarks to kick off the “Investing in America” content series. Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre will host a briefing Tuesday afternoon as well.

The Homestretch

Vice President Kamala Harris is back in Washington, D.C., Tuesday, where she’ll receive briefings and have internal meetings with staff.

The Trump campaign will be hosting events in Braselton, Georgia, featuring Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL), Rep. Jason Smith (R-MO), Amb. Robert Lighthizer, and Linda McMahon, and Mesa, Arizona, featuring Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX), Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ), and former Lt. Goc. Abel Maldonado (R-CA).

Also, Trump’s newest book “Save America” hits the shelves today.

Full Court Press…

While the D.C. criminal case against the former president is now moving forward, the Joint Status Report filed by the parties with the court on Friday indicates no expectation that the case will be tried prior to the election, though there will be ongoing proceedings regarding the various motions to dismiss and immunity determinations.

Hunter Biden’s California tax trial is set to begin Thursday. As indicated, we’ll bring you in-depth coverage of that, as Managing Editor Jennifer Van Laar will be attending.

Of Primary Concern

Massachusetts is holding its primaries today.

MORNING MUSING

I did a better job this past weekend of actually taking the time off that I was supposed to take and tuning out a bit. Every time I do, I’m reminded how important it is to do so on a somewhat regular basis. Have to have that chance to reset every so often. I enjoyed celebrating my birthday with friends and family, but that was tempered a bit by the sad news of my former mother-in-law’s passing. She was 96 years old and had been in poor health, so it didn’t come as a tremendous surprise, but it still carries the heartache — particularly for my daughter, who was very close with her Grandma. I consider myself very fortunate in that my second “Mom” was always very good to me. She welcomed me into their family and always had a smile and a laugh to share. And that remained the case even after my ex and I divorced. Rest in peace, Carolgene, and know that you are missed.

LIGHTER FARE

Always appreciate encountering some cuteness like this.
