Tim Walz’s motorcade was involved in an accident on Monday, with two vehicles carrying press members hitting each other. Initial reports are that there are minor injuries, with one reporter breaking their arm. The incident occurred while Walz was on the way to Milwaukee, WI, for a campaign event.

Video of the scene showed that one van ran into the back of another. Members of the press can be seen standing around on the side of the road. Where was Walz? He was nowhere to be found.

Yeah, you read that right. Instead of stopping to check on members of his own motorcade, Walz just kept driving. It apparently took the press contacting him to find out he was “fine.” I’m not sure why any of the journalists involved expected anything different given his vehicle wasn’t, you know, part of the accident.
Walz sure has a thing for running away, doesn’t he? This is the same guy who has faced blistering criticism from soldiers he served with for skipping out on what would have been his only combat tour of his military career. As RedState reported, one of the Minnesota governor’s then-superior officers went on CNN and explained in detail how Walz knew exactly what was coming but chose to retire early and run for political office instead.

When the going gets tough, Walz has a habit of ending up somewhere else. The right thing to do here was to stop and at least make some phone calls to see if everyone was okay, even if security protocols prevented him from exiting his vehicle. Instead, the governor and his wife just kept driving. There’s something telling about that.
