This was cute.
I liked both Cassie and Frederick. I also liked that it took place in Chicago and the suburbs. I could picture things even though some details were not correct. I’m guessing they were changed for the purpose of the book. Like the size of Nordstrom and number of floors. Nothing major. I enjoy reading in settings that I know. It just makes a book easier to picture for me. The note writing between Cassie and Frederick was something that stood out to me. I think I would have liked a little more vampire stuff. Maybe that will be in the second book. I did like the art focus. Cassie was such a normal person struggling to make it in an expensive city. It was easy to relate to her. Frederick was just so awkward. I laughed out loud a few times because of the things he said or did. The book was just a fun read.
