I’m not sure who had exploding pagers on their Bingo cards for 2024, but why not? As Bonchie reported earlier:
In one of the most unbelievable developments of 2024, Israel somehow hacked into the pagers and cell phones of Hezbollah fighters and caused them to explode. News of hundreds of injuries, including dismemberments broke on Tuesday morning. Shortly after, videos of devices blowing up began to circulate.

Now comes news that one of those injured happens to be Iran’s ambassador to Lebanaon.
BREAKING: Iran’s ambassador in Lebanon has been wounded in the explosion of pagers in the country, Iranian news reports say.

Here’s more on the story:
Iran’s semi-official Fars news agency, close to the country’s powerful Revolutionary Guard, said on its Telegram channel that Mojtaba Amani, Iran’s ambassador in Lebanon, has a superficial injury and is under observation at a hospital. Another semi-official Mehr news agency, also on its Telegram channel, reported that Amani was wounded by a pager explosion.
And here’s another video of one of the explosions:
(Warning – graphic)
IRGC media channels have published another video of one of the Hezbollah pager explosions.

Though Hezbollah officials are pointing the finger at Israel, the Israeli military has thus far not commented on the matter.
On the other hand, The Mossad “Satirical” X account has had a few observations to share since the news broke. Here is a sampling:
