According to a 2024 study conducted by the Cosmetify Index, which analyzes the top beauty brands, Huda Beauty has the highest social media following, with 64.4 million followers across Instagram and TikTok. This is no surprise to the beauty team here at WWW—we’ve remained tuned into every single launch and look from the iconic brand all year long. In 2024, the Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder ($38) reigned supreme (and became my personal favorite), alongside the Lip Contour 2.0 Automatic Matte Lip Pencil ($21), but the list of best sellers doesn’t stop there.
I like to think of 2024 as the year of complexion products. Just think of all the concealers, skin tints, and foundations that were released this year. And in the sea of viral foundations, Huda Beauty’s Easy Blur Natural Airbrush Foundation ($37) came out on top. I won’t bore you with the stats, but this beloved foundation received high praise from some of the most trusted beauty content creators. Before we get into our honest thoughts, let’s do a product breakdown. Easy Blur is a lightweight, medium-to-buildable coverage foundation that’s non-comedogenic (meaning it won’t clog your pores) and ultra-blurring. The key ingredients are 1.5% niacinamide, which smooths the look of uneven texture and tone, and silica, which blurs the look of pores to help you achieve that filter-like finish. After Huda Beauty founder, Huda Kattan, worked on over 100 (yes, 100) versions of this product, it finally launched in 29 shades and quickly took social media by storm. “For me, this product applied as advertised. It feels lightweight, the blurring effect is there, and it looks fairly natural on the skin. I only did one layer and it provided a true medium amount of coverage, but I’d stop there if you prefer a more skin-like look. “Though I always opt for tinted moisturizer as my base, I was excited to give this hyped-up Huda launch a try. It has a natural finish but leans a bit more velvety-matte, so I added a few drops of Rhode Glazing Milk and a spritz of glowy setting spray to give my complexion a radiant finish. I love that it played nice with my other skincare and makeup products. No foundation is magic, so I wasn’t necessarily expecting an airbrushed, Paris-filter type of finish, but this one came pretty close to it. As someone who wears foundation nearly every day (and who has tried a lot of them), I’m pretty particular about what makes a ‘good foundation’ in my book. And honestly, this one came close to checking all my boxes. It’s lightweight yet buildable (check), has a natural-matte finish (check), blends super easily (check), and doesn’t settle into my fine lines (whew, check). The one box it didn’t check is longevity—it just didn’t last well for me throughout the day. After eight hours it had oxidized and highlighted my texture in a way I didn’t love.
